Watson Road

ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION

Watson Road is a 6 bedroomed, shared house, with 2 communal kitchens and is located in Worksop, on Watson Road itself. Residents are encouraged to become involved in their upkeep and to help maintain the communal areas shared amongst all residents. Residents continue to receive low level support  from their key worker, when living in the shared house.

Property

We always ensure that when residents move in, their flat will be in a good state of repair and reasonable standard of décor, for example, the majority will have been newly painted.

Prior to moving in, the flat will be jointly inspected by the prospective resident and a representative of HOPE.  Anything that is unclear will be discussed and a way forward agreed.

The flats are offered partly-furnished, with a  bed, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. We encourage residents to personalise their flat—it is their home!

Moving In

Residents are responsible for paying their own bills, for buying their own food, and other usual expenses associated with living in a property of their own—just like anyone would be.

The reason that they are at Watson Road is that Hope staff will be providing ongoing support to ensure residents can remain in a home of their own.  Assistance to ensure that everyday tasks can be achieved, whether that is; help to manage their money appropriately, practical steps to plan meals, to complete a particular application form or manage their direct debits.

Service User Involvement

Hope Community Services believe that their Service Users should have a voice in the services that we provide, and encourages its residents to put their opinions forward, in a way which suits them.

Hope holds regular tenant consultation; surveys and meetings, to allow residents a chance to meet up and discuss what’s happening at the project.

Service Users are given an opportunity before any meetings, to put forward their ideas, to build the agenda, even if they are unable to attend.
