Latest News HOPE forms football team as a part of physical activities session On Tuesday the 15th of January service users from Hope Community Services broke into two teams for a competitive and fun game of football at The Canch Park in Worksop. The football game was as a part of their health and well-being and physical activities session ran by HOPE’s counsellor Amanda. Since changing direction and focus in 2018, Hope Community Services now run a variety of different workshops and sessions to help engage their service users, aiding in helping them to progress back into society and find suitable housing. Some of the sessions which HOPE’s counsellor delivers are; self-esteem, healthy boundaries, assertiveness, and training and support in self-help and self-care. However, another big part is delivering physical activities. In late summer 2018 HOPE’s service users formed a volleyball team, which delighted them, as it allowed them to bond, whilst focusing on something positive and constructive. Other activities which have been introduced include, yoga and stretching and circuit training. HOPE are always in need of sporting equipment such as, badminton rackets, shuttlecocks, spare footballs, relay equipment and exercise mats. If you would like to make a donation, then donations can be dropped off at 11-13 Queen Street, Worksop, S80 2AN.
