HOPE’s homeless client bake-off in Worksop this Christmas

HOPE’s homeless client bake off this Christmas

On Monday the 4th of December service users in HOPE’s homeless clients in their hostel undertook a Christmas themed bake off. There were two groups led by our Support Workers, who were given the task of baking Christmas mince pies and decorative themed cup cakes. A lot of hard effort went into the baking.

Our bake off categories were: appearance, taste and texture. We must say, that all looked very festive! Baking mince pies can be quiet the challenge…

The judging panel consisted of four judges; HOPE’s CEO Alan Diggles, Journalist Sophie Wills, Anne Taylor from The Crossing in Worksop and Catherine Burns from Bassetlaw Community and Voluntary Service.

Well done to all of HOPE’s service users who took part, the baked goods tasted as good as they looked, leaving a very difficult for our judges.
