Training and Education
Our focus is on developing individuals’ confidence and self-esteem. We do this alongside specific learning in; citizenship, social responsibility, anger management and dealing with difficult situations. The feedback we have had from individuals attending the sessions has been really positive. However, for those that are not quite as comfortable with group work, we are able to work on a one-to-one basis.
Our Employment Support workshops cover all areas of learning; personal awareness, and confidence building, the wide range of skills that employers are seeking from those seeking employment. We also hold I.C.T workshops – numeracy and literacy accredited courses – in our purpose built computer suite.
We have outstanding relationships with partner agencies who use the premises to interview people, these include; New Roots, Notts Community Housing, NACRO, RAP (Resettlement & Aftercare Provision– for young offenders), Children & Young Peoples Services, Sherwood Project, Double Impact, Turning Point and Adult Social Care services, to name but a few. This not only benefits people accessing the service but also broadens the knowledge of the staff, as it allows them to network with other professionals.
