2nd Tuxford Beavers collects food for Worksop homeless charity HOPE
On Wednesday the 5th of July staff members Emma and Kellyanne delivered an awareness presentation to Tuxford’s Beavers (aged 6 years). The talk was to educate the beavers on what homeless is, how you can become homeless, and how people can help.
Beaver leader Lucy stated that the children were doing this in order to earn another badge. The children spent weeks collecting various kinds of tinned and packeted food, which was then donated to HOPE for those in need.
Development Worker Emma said “It was lovely to promote homelessness, as now more than ever it’s rising. The children showed a real interest, and I feel that they really liked being able to help by donating food for our service users”
HOPE are extremely thankful for this very generous support. All donations large or small, help HOPE provide the vital support services needed for those in crisis. To find out how you could support HOPE, call 01909 531294 ext29, or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
