Volunteer/PR Admin support post

HOPE is looking for a Volunteer PR/Admin Support Worker. All details and information are below.


JOB TITLE:  Volunteer PR/Admin Support

JOB PURPOSE: To help increase the sustainability of HOPE through; promotion and

publicity, the effective use of social media and marketing of service

To support the Development Worker in all administration tasks, including

update of social media, PR and eBay sales

RESPONSIBLE TO: Development Worker

HOURS OF WORK:  Approximately 12 Hours per week

BASED AT:17 Queen Street, Worksop, Notts, S80 2AN


Main Duties

  • To work with colleagues to identify external opportunities and potential service developments
  • To help develop new ideas to ensure that HOPE can achieve its vision and wider business objectives
  • To assist in managing social media platforms, and ensure that they are regularly updated with informative content
  • To assist in electronic sales and help manage our online E-Bay shop and all online stock/postage
  • To help publicise HOPE’s social enterprise
  • To support our work with other voluntary and community sector organisations
  • To help publicise HOPE to the wider community
  • To assist in monitoring performance and reporting internally as appropriate
  • To help provide statistical, financial and quality monitoring data, as appropriate
  • To help ensure that service is delivered in accordance with, and in the spirit of, HOPE’s equal opportunity policy.


Experience and Skills

  • Basic knowledge of English, Maths & IT
  • Basic understanding of online media and social media platforms
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, for the creation of publicity documents i.e. flyers/leaflets/adverts
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Good communication skills
  • Level headed, reliable and conscientious
  • Able to use own initiative and work as part of a team

Worksop Furniture Project Saturday date confirmed

HOPE has now confirmed it’s date for the re-opening of our Worksop Furniture Project on Saturdays. The furniture project will start trading on Saturdays again from the 19th of September.
